For the past two years John has participated in the Ford's Half Ironman in California. The first year he did it I thought he was going to die. The second year he looked so much better when he finished. He had improved his time by about one hour. He is going for a third year...what a man, an Ironman that is!

Emily's science project....which battery lasts longer. It was a pretty good project and we discovered that the energizer battery lasts longer. That was good to know because we actually use the energizer and it costs less than the duracell. Her project was put in the science fair and her teacher kept her board to use as an example for next year. Way to go, Emily!
I love Valentine's Day.
Even though it isn't much, I enjoy doing something fun that shows my family how much I love them. This year, I wrote them each a little note telling them the special thing I loved about them. It is a tradition that I leave a box of conversation hearts by their place at the table. So, when they come down to breakfast they get a little surprise. However, it is not much of a surprise anymore...they are old enough that they are catching on and expect the box of hearts. Oh well, it is still fun for all of us!
London's Run
2009
This is the first year we all participated. John did the half marathon, Jordan and Tanner did the 10k, Hayden and I and our "other son" Tyson did the 2 mile, while Emily enjoyed the pancake breakfast. She has had problems with her knee and has had to cut back on physical activity, dance being one of them. It was a great feeling knowing that we are helping those in our community who have struggled with cancer.
Doing the 2 mile with our friends!
"Have fun, fun, fun till daddy takes the t-bird away." In January 2009, Emily participated in her middle school talent show. She performed a tap dance that she learned at K & K dance studio. Tapping is her favorite form of dance. Although she didn't win first place, she did recieve alot of cheers and claps. You go girl!
